Short, snappy videos are on fire right now.

Why? Because the average person’s attention span is eight seconds.
Yes, you read that right—eight seconds.

So, how do you create a Reel that actually gets noticed?

Here are my 5 key ingredients for the perfect Reel—try them out and let me know how it goes!

 

    1. Offer Value
      Create Instagram Reels for your business that are educational, motivational, and entertaining.
      Give people a reason to stop scrolling—and stay for your content.
    2. Add Effects, Music, or Text
      Keep your audience engaged with visuals and sound.

    3. Be Authentic
      There’s nothing better in this over-saturated world of social media marketing than just being yourself.
      The secret ingredient? It’s YOU.
    4. Avoid Watermarks (ahem, TikTok)
      This one’s straight from the @creators account on Instagram—if your Reel has a TikTok watermark, it won’t get much visibility. So, take the time to remove it, please.
    5. Use High-Resolution, Vertical Videos
      Reels are made to be consumed vertically—that’s 1080 x 1920, if you’re feeling technical.
      No one wants to see a blurry video in 2021. And no, you don’t need a professional camera—your smartphone is more than enough.
