The Winning Carousel Formula Prompt

Here’s the exact prompt I use to create the copy for my carousels that stop the scroll and get saved. 8 to 10 slides, one clear formula, zero guesswork.

Copy and paste this:

Create a highly engaging Instagram carousel designed for maximum saves, shares, comments, and completion rate.

TOPIC: [INSERT TOPIC]

TARGET AUDIENCE: [INSERT AUDIENCE]

GOAL: [INSERT GOAL]

Follow this exact structure:

SLIDE 0: COVER / HOOK
Write one bold statement, controversial opinion, surprising fact, or powerful question that stops the scroll immediately.
Keep it short and punchy.
Maximum 12 words.

SLIDE 1: THE HOOK DIFFERENTLY
Reinforce the same idea from Slide 0 using a different angle.
Create curiosity and encourage the user to keep swiping.
Do not repeat the same wording.

SLIDE 2: THE PROBLEM
Call out the audience’s pain point.
Make them feel understood.
Be specific, relatable, and emotionally engaging.
The reader should think: “This is exactly me.”

SLIDES 3 TO 8: THE SOLUTION
Deliver the value.
One key idea per slide.
Each slide must:
• Be actionable
• Be easy to understand
• Contain a clear takeaway
• Build logically on the previous slide

Use practical examples where relevant.

SLIDE 9: SUMMARY
Create a save-worthy recap.
Use concise bullet points.
Summarise the problem and the key solutions.

SLIDE 10: CTA
Provide ONE clear call to action.
Choose only one:
• Save this post
• Follow for more
• Comment below

Make the CTA feel natural and valuable.

ADDITIONAL VIRALITY RULES:

• Write like a human, not a textbook.
• Use simple language.
• Prioritise clarity over cleverness.
• Create curiosity throughout the carousel.
• Challenge common beliefs where appropriate.
• Use strong emotional triggers such as frustration, aspiration, fear, relief, confidence, or surprise.
• Avoid generic advice.
• Include specific examples, frameworks, or steps.
• Every slide should make the reader want to see the next slide.
• The carousel should feel practical, insightful, and highly shareable.

Output format:

SLIDE 0:
[Copy]

SLIDE 1:
[Copy]

SLIDE 2:
[Copy]

Continue until SLIDE 10.
